TalkPod + IFS
Enterprise ERP and service management platform with a strong base in industrial manufacturing, asset-heavy industries and field service.
No connector built pre-emptively. We scope and build it inside the pilot, using whatever the source supports.
What this connection does
Turn IFS into a conversation customers can have.
- Product or asset master is the starting point, with the service-side fields IFS holds alongside it
- Scheduled downtime and maintenance windows are queryable, so the pod can answer 'when can I get this serviced' rather than just 'what is this'
- Spare parts and BOMs come through with the parent, so a customer asking about a replacement part gets the right one for their unit
- Field service teams can use the same pod as customers, with the same answers and different surface treatment
How it connects
REST API or scheduled export.
IFS gives us a REST API that's strong on service-side data, not just the catalogue side. We pull the asset master, the service intervals and the spare parts records. For older IFS Applications versions we sometimes lean on the export route instead, which is cleaner than retrofitting an API call.
- asset master
- service intervals
- spare parts
- maintenance history
Example conversation
What a customer might ask.
Same shape as the chat on the homepage. Real reply from real data when IFS is connected.
customer When does this unit need its next major service?
product Major service at 2,000 operating hours or annually, whichever first. Your unit (S/N FW-2026-0188) is at 1,640 hours, so due around April based on current usage.
Your turn
Connect TalkPod to IFS.
We'll plug into IFS, ingest the relevant product or vehicle records, and have a working pod for one supplier or one category live in a working day.
