We build and host your Digital Product Passports.

Digital Product Passports are coming to the EU, starting with batteries in 2027. TalkPod works out what your product needs, gathers and structures the data, then publishes and hosts every passport for you.

A 30-minute call and a check of ten of your products. No cost and no obligation.

Fixed in law

Batteries: 18 February 2027.

The only fixed date so far, under the Battery Regulation. It covers EV batteries, industrial batteries over 2 kWh, and e-bike and e-scooter batteries.

02 / How it works

From scattered data to a live passport

Getting ready

We track down the data.

Most of it is already somewhere in your business or with your suppliers. We find it, show you what's missing, and do the chasing so your team doesn't have to.

Keeping it live

We look after the passport.

Each product gets its passport and a QR code for the label. We host it and keep it up to date as the rules settle. If you ever move on, there's a twelve-month handover window to take it with you.

04 / The label

Ready for 2D barcodes

Retailers are swapping the stripe barcode for QR codes, and GS1, the body that runs barcodes, wants tills reading them by the end of 2027. Your passport code is built to that standard, so the label does both jobs.

How the code works
Today

A product number. That's all the till gets.

With your passport

The same number, plus a link to the passport. Tills and phones can both read it.

GS1's 2027 date is an industry target, not a legal deadline.

05 / The pod

Make the passport earn its keep

Brands in regulated categories will have to publish one, and the same record supports your customer service teams. Yours can answer customers' questions, on your website or from the QR on the label, using only what the record says. When the answer isn't there, it says so.
